Our Medical Device Testing and Metrology laboratory is FDA registered and audited, ISO 17025 and ISTA certified, and has the ability to perform a wide variety of testing, including dimensional, force, and mechanical device properties.

Our clients require that their devices and container designs meet specific expectations prior to marketing their finished products. Mechanical testing provides data in which the suitability and functionality of the test materials are evaluated under specific conditions such as temperature, tension, compression, and load. In addition, materials or components may be evaluated to determine whether their physical properties and functionality are manufactured to the specifications as designed by package engineers.

AMRI specializes in tensile, compressive, and torsional testing using Instron Universal Testing Machines with Bluehill Universal software. Our engineers and technicians are skilled in the development of custom Instron test methods, and we can also develop device-specific fixtures for complex measurements and components.

Our instrumentation includes:

  • Instron Universal Testing Machines
  • Digital Micrometers
  • Thickness Gauges
  • Force Gauges
  • Digital Calipers
  • Optical Comparators
  • Torque Meters
  • Digital Microscopes
  • Ink Rub Tester
  • Durometers
