Board of Directors

AMRI’s Board of Directors include the following individuals:

Dr. Tom D'Ambra

Thomas E. D'Ambra co-founded AMRI in 1991 and is chairman of the board, president and CEO. Previously, he was vice president, chemistry and co-founder of Coromed, Inc., as well as group leader and senior research chemist with Sterling Winthrop, Inc. He holds a Ph.D. from MIT.

Arthur Roth

Arthur Roth, a director since 2003, was commissioner of the NYS Department of Taxation & Finance, a senior consulting director with Coopers & Lybrand, and founder and managing director of Roth Nobis & Company, an accounting firm. Mr. Roth, a CPA, has a B.S. from Syracuse University and served in the U.S. Army.

Kevin O'Connor, a director since 2000, is CEO of Tech Valley Communications. Previously, he was president of the Center for Economic Growth, and deputy commissioner for the NYS Department of Economic Development. He has held positions in the NYS Governor's Office, Budget Division and Health Department. He holds an M.P.A. from SUNY-Brockport.

Paul S. Anderson

Paul S. Anderson, a director since 2002, is former vice president at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Previously, he was VP for chemistry at Merck's West Point, PA facility, and senior VP for DuPont Pharmaceuticals. He has been involved in research leading to Zocor, Trusopt, Aggrastat, Crixivan and Sustiva. He has a Ph.D. from the University of New Hampshire.

Una S. Ryan

Una S. Ryan, a director since 2006, is President and CEO of Waltham Technologies, Inc.  Previously, she held positions at Avant Immunotherapeutics, Inc., Monsanto Corporation, the Papanicalou Cancer Research Institute and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She holds a Ph.D. from Cambridge University and in 2002 received the Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).

Veronica Jordan

Veronica G. H. Jordan, a director since 2006, most recently was CEO and president of Medelle Corporation. Previously, she was S.V.P. at Parexel International Corp. and director of marketing and business development at Biogen. She began her industry career at Baxter International, and holds a B.Sc. from Cambridge University and a Ph.D. from Oxford University.
